We start in a quiet street near your place. Seat, mirrors, pedals and steering first, then short slow drives around streets you already know. You do not need to have driven before.

Can the lesson be in Arabic or Ezidi?

Yes. I speak English, Arabic and Ezidi, and the lesson runs in the language that suits you. It works the other way too. If your English is fine but your parents want to follow what is happening, I can explain it to them in their language.

Can a parent or carer sit in?

Yes, in the back seat, on any lesson. It helps early on. The person helping you practicing between lessons can then work on the same things.

What do I need to bring?

Your learner licence, either the card or the digital one in the Service NSW app, and your log book. If your licence says you need glasses or contact lenses, please wear them.

Should I learn in an automatic or a manual?

If you think you will need to drive a manual one day, for work or for a farm vehicle, learn manual. If you pass the test in an automatic, your licence says automatic vehicles only. See the note below.

I've driven overseas. Where do I start?

Call me and tell me what you have driven and where. What you need depends on the licence you hold and how long you have been in Australia. It is quicker to work that out on the phone than in a form.

Worth knowing before you pick a transmission

If you sit your driving test in an automatic, your licence will say automatic vehicles only. It stays on your licence until you pass another driving test in a manual car.
This is not a reason to avoid automatics. Most people drive an automatic and never need anything else. But it is worth choosing on purpose, especially if you think you will need to drive a manual for work.

Booking, payment and cancellations

How do I book a lesson?

Put your suburb into the search on any page, pick a time that is free, and pay by card. You get a confirmation straight away. You do not have to wait for me to call you back.

Can you take me to the driving test?

Yes. The test day package is two hours. A warm-up lesson on the roads around the test centre, then your test in the same car. There is one for the automatic and one for the manual. You book the test with Service NSW yourself and pay their fee separately.

Which suburbs do you cover?

Coffs Harbour, Korora, Sapphire Beach, Moonee Beach, Emerald Beach, Boambee, Boambee East, Toormina, Sawtell, Bonville, North Boambee Valley, Karangi, Upper Orara and Coramba.
Enter your suburb in the search and it'll tell you straight away whether you're covered.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes, free of charge, up to 24 hours before your lesson. You can do it from your booking confirmation. Inside 24 hours the lesson fee applies.

How far ahead can I book, and how late?

Up to 30 days ahead, and up to three hours before the lesson starts. If you need a lesson sooner than three hours, call me. Sometimes it is possible, but it cannot be done online.

When are you available?

Monday to Friday from 6am to 8pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 6am to 3pm, with a break around midday. The early lessons before school and work book out first.
